Now that ii am on a mini roll, the season is just about gone. Ain’t that always the way? Well, I couldn’t lose more than 2 games last week, but didn’t lose any and so, here is:
The Last–Last Week’s Review
1. Indy -7.5 over The Jets.
Well. I just knew Indy was the better team. And I was right. But the Jets kept it close and had the lead in the 1st half, thanks to their no. 1 D and no. 1 draft pick. Their rookie QB did pretty and we will hear from the young QB again, no doubt. But in the end, of course, it was the old QB, old no. 18, that was to much for them. That and the Colts own under-rated D.
2. Minnesota + 3.5 over NO
I just knew that the Vikings were the better team. And I was right again! But what I didn’t know was that they would just give the game away with, what was it? 5 Turnovers! So, this was my tie. Maybe Minn did that (To Quote from the movie producer in The Godfather) “Just to make me look ridiculous”.
The.. (cue the music) Sob.. Sob.. LAST PICK OF THE SEASON!
(Starting to go thru Football withdrawal already….. How long till the draft?)
1. Indy -5.5 over NO I like Colts. But so did the Movie Producer until he ended up with the head of one in his bed.. But here is why.. Just like the Jet game there is one element that doesn’t add up..
Indy Great O.. check Excellent D… check
NO Great O.. check Excellent D.. well, not so fast my friend.. Actually, they just have a good Defense that mostly relies on forcing Turnovers.. like the 5 against the Vikes. And now they are going to try to force Peyton Manning into giving up the ball. How do you think they are going to do with that plan? Similar to Hitler’s plan to invade Russia and the Hilton sister’s plan to go to Harvard.
Of course, I can’t rule the Saints out as they have surprised all year with their good karma.. and feel-good story of the year. And the Colts could lose their heads……..just to make me look ridiculous.
Well, gang there will be at least one more follow up blog after the big game.. So enjoy Sunday and remember to stick to your game plan. And don’t OD on Chips before the kickoff!
