LAST BLOG OF THE SEASON (Or is it?)

Last Week 1 & 1

New England won, but not by enough. Hence, I broke even. Actually, I will most likely have one more Blog to summarize the season and determine my over all winning or losing percentage. So really this is probably going to be my Penultimate blog. I mention this just so I can use the word Penultimate,for the first time.

Super Week

Actually, this is only the Super Week for the casual fan. Last week was way better and the weekend before the best. That was semi-final week with 4 meaningful games. One of which, SF-NO, became an instant classic. This week, we only have one game and it could be a bust. And a bunch of commercials and a half time which which might be a bust also. And speaking of busts, hopefully Madonna won’t have a wardrobe malfunction.

New York + 3 over New England.

I don’t necessarily pick who I hope will win, NE, but who I think will win, NY. I am thinking Deja Vue. That the game will come down to the same factors as 4 years ago. That the Giants front line will pressure Brady enough to slow him down just a tad. He will still score but not enough to make up for Eli vs the make shift Patriot Defense. Which the hooded Genius put together with Duck tape. Take the case of Julian Edelman. He is playing with 2 handicaps. First he is a mediocre Wide Receiver playing Defense. Something he hasn’t done since HS. And now he is in the Super Bowl. And even worse, he is going to occasionally play Corner Back. Plus, he was born with a completely debilitating handicap. He is White! How many White corner backs have we had in the NFL is the last 5 years? Uh, like none!

Now New England just beat an even better D last with in the Ravens. But they won by 3 points. And Eli and the Giants O, is better than Flacco and company. (Even though he played very well last week) So expect the Giants to score more than the Ravens last week, and the Pats to score about a the same. Hence a good close game with the Giants winning, or losing by 3 or less. Which would make have me breaking even and LV making lots of money.

So lets hope for a game that is at least close enough to keep us awake, after all those Super Snacks and Beverages have weighed us down.
